'george' is the 3rd album that psych/folk/pop/rock trio sleeping orchard has released since joining forces in 2013, which makes for a fairly prolific start. There is not a whole lot in the way of biographical information in this band's somewhat mysterious web presence, but 'george' is a psych folk experience that is easy to immerse yourself in...gently harmonized vocals, guitars that go from a laid back twang into mild freak outs. some songs have a big pastoral psych sound, while others have a more lonely, distant vibe. the album has stylistic range, from the drum-machine/piano sedated pop feel of 'put the dog out in the yard' to the lonelier arrangement of 'ive been here 7 years'
