while in the early days of this spot content from my home town of harrisonburg, VA was arguably over-represented, it has been awhile since any denizens of the friendly city have sent tunes my way. that dry spell was ended today when i got this transmission from indie folk rockers suter bay. their second album 'the great white quail' is blend of lofi anti-folk vibes and low-key melancholic rock with ever-so-slight psychedelic flourishes poking out now and again. there are snatches of casual conversation jammed in between the songs, lending to a pleasantly laid back, bedroomy feel for the whole slab.
