dandelion lakewood (AKA
bowl of dust) is a rambling songwriter (
one of his tunes features the refrain 'transients and travelers shall inheret the earth'). his latest album '
by myself' is a psychedelic spiritual musing. the 1st song, '
thank you', has vibrations of religious appreciation and and blessedness that remind me of
george harrison's '
my sweet lord'. the entirety of '
by myself' has a feeling of meditation, and animistic, shamanic connection with the earth.
pretty cool to sink into. it's important to remember everything is connected and that religion aside there is something mystical about our relationship with earth.
dandelion seems to have dedicated these five songs to remembering that. oh yeah, and the sounds range from freak-folk to more upbeat bedroom rock.
