brooklyn based rock band woodsy pride
sent me their christmas album
to share, but i have trouble getting a handle on a band's sound based on holiday music so i'm sharing their latest non-christmas release, 'live at the all hands house
'. the live setting is good for woodsy pride, the subtle interplay and musical connection between this power trio is immediately apparent.
the music has that classic quality of being tight and loose, soothing and exciting, at the same time, and the tones sound great captured live into a tape machine. there is a timeless quality that lands somewhere between jam band chops and weirdo folk charm. recommended.
