sawak is an experimental rock quartet based in poland. their new self titled album is available on slovakian label resonating wood recordings. sawak combines an advanced ability to groove with a thirst for far out sounds and eclectic instrumentation, making for an exciting listen.
if i had to call it something, i'd call it punk jazz. their songs are mostly strange instrumental excursions, ornamented by noise and anchored by limber rhythms, with occasional vocals.
